The name comes from a Swahili word 'zaidi' meaning 'More' or 'Better than', and the ZAiiD has vowed to do just that, giving Tanzania music industry and fans more authentic Hiphop music, plus living up to his name by making sure his work is better than any emcee in the country.
After the release of his 'Kanda Mbovu' Mixtape which had all the fans in the city singing "Who dat Who dat?..Zaaaiiid".. he continued to keep rappers on their toes by releasing non-stop street bangers every month. Due to this critics questioned ZAiiD's ability to write real songs beyond his regular punchline infested and metaphoric flows. Today ZAiiD answered his critics with an amazing real life song called "Kwaninii?" produced by his fellow Tamaduni Muzic affiliate Mujwahuki alongside sweet melodious vocals from Rosse Em.
